| Objectiveto investigate the impact of NIRS (Near infrared spectroscopy) and cervical spine movement load test on the cervical vertigo diagnostic procedure, the pathogenesis of cervical vertigo, and the relationship between Posterior Inferior Cerebellar Artery blood chang and cervical vertigo.Methods64patients were diagnosed cervical vertigo were chose in study group from Dec.152012to March.152013, all the patients outpatient and inpatient were treated in China-Japan Friendship Hospi tial,50patients was diagnosed cervical instability, the rate is80.65%, the total instability levels is78.13%.21patients who do not complain with headaches and dizziness were chosen in Control group. Both groups are examined by NIRS and take the cervical spine movement load test:put two light emitters in each mastoid of head, tie it up, sit for a while to wait the curve goes steadily, then tell the patiens to bow head back and forth in maximize, keep it for2mins, the computer record the data ofâ–³cHb,â–³02Hb.â–³HHb, TOI and nTHI. Then, tellpatients to bow the neck back and forth30times in30seconds (once a second),circumgyrate the neck left and right for30times in30seconds (once a second), the computer record the data ofâ–³cHb,â–³02Hb,â–³HHb, TOI and nTHI. In the same time, communicate with patiens.ask if they had headache\dizziness or numbness in the hand, dizzy, record them. Results1.54patients (84.38%) were induced symptoms by the cervical spine movement load test,10cases in study group did not induced any symptoms,10cases induced by bow the neck back and forth30times in30seconds, but did not by circumgyrate the neck left and right for30times in30seconds.2. Cervical spine movement load test can show significant change in brain tissue oxygen metabolism compared to contral group (p<0.05). Theâ–³cIlb shows difference between the group of44cases patients iduced positive and20cases patients iduced negetive during the cervical spine movement load test (p<0.05) Conclusions1. Cervical spine movement load test can induce cervical vertigo, which can serve as indexes in diagnostic procedure.2. NIRS can show theâ–³02Hb change of Posterior Inferior Cerebellar Artery, which can serve as indexs for diagnosis of cervical vertigo.3.Blood chang in two Posterior Inferior Cerebellar Artery in left and right show no difference after spine movement load test.4. Cervical spine movement load test can make the blood flow changement in posterior inferior cerebellar artery (PICA), which can cause cervical vertigo. |
