Objective:To observe how artemisia burning products of different concentration affected the biomarkers of cardiovascular disease and explore the relationship between cardiovascular effect caused by artemisia burning products and its concentration;To indicate the safe concentration of artemisia burning products which didn’t cause cardiovascular damage and provide a reference for the safe use of artemisia burning products clinically.Methods:(1)168wistar mice were randomly divided into4groups and each group had42ones.All the mice in the4groups were fumed with artemisia burning products of different concentration (0%,10%,40%and70%(opacity of the intoxication tank), respectively) and20min every day.All the mice were drawn materials after26weeks. Pathological changes of mouse hearts in different concentration group were observed by hematoxylin and eosin stain(HE stain) method, the content of serum LDL-R and ox-LDL and the changes of serum ICAM-1、hs-CRP and vWF was tested.(2)48wistar mice were randomly divided into4groups and each group had12ones.All the mice in the4groups were fumed with Artemisia burning products of different concentration (0%,0.4%,2%(Clinical clinic concentration) and15%(opacity of the intoxication tank), respectively) and200min every day. All the mice were drawn materials after12weeks. Pathological changes of mouse hearts in different concentration group were observed by hematoxylin and eosin stain(HE stain) method, the content of serum LDL-R and ox-LDL and the changes of serum ICAM-1, hs-CRP and vWF was tested.Results:(1) pathological changes of mouse hearts:no abnormal change was observed in the myocardial fibers and the myocardial cells by light microscope.(2) biochemical index: Compared with the blank group, vWF content in the low concentration group decreased markedly and ICAM-1、hs-CRP、ox-LDL and LDL-r content did not show any marked differences;ox-LDL、LDL-r and hs-CRP content in the middle concentration group rose markedly, vWF content decreased markedly and ICAM-1content did not show any marked differences;ox-LDL and LDL-R content in the high concentration group did not show any marked differences, vWF content decreased markedly and hs-CRP and ICAM-1content rose markedly.Conclusion:(1) With low concentration, the intervention of artemisia burning products neither caused inflammatory response nor destroyed vascular endothelium.(2) The platelet aggregation and blood clots were inhibited with the rising of artemisia burning products concentration.(3) The cholesterol clearance was increased markedly with the rising of artemisia burning products concentration.(4) With high concentration, the intervention of artemisia burning products could cause inflammatory response and destroy vascular endothelium to some extent.(5) With different concentration, the intervention of artemisia burning products did not change significantly the cardiac muscle histomorphology.
