The Qing Tripitaka also known as dragon Tripitaka or Qianlong Tripitaka,Qianlong version of Tripitaka, has been publicated by Yong Zheng emperor, fromeleven years of Yong Zheng (1733) to three years of Qian Long (1738). The QingTripitaka is a official version of Tripitaka publication. Because of rich content,rigorous emendator, precise collation, tidy makeup, The Qing Tripitaka has beencalled" beauty of fine carved, the essence of the typical"; By the two Prince personallysupervise and strictly guard, wet and swelling boards were put an end to use. So, theboard of the Qing Tripitaka has basic well-preserved since Song Dynasty, become thelegacy only a pair of Tripitaka, and was classified as a national heritage. As theChinese feudal dynasty the last carving Tripitaka, buddhism and the academic circleshave been pay more attention to the Qing Tripitaka., in chapters of some monographshave related research papers, however, the lack of comprehensive and systematicresearch. In addition, it is difficult to see through the board of the Qing Tripitaka’sactual situation, researchers according to literature, cannot have a comprehensiveresults, but circulate and erroneous reports. I have participated in the Qing Tripitakaby the board finishing work, in the understanding of the plate existing conditions, Iwrite this article, the main purpose of this paper is to achieve two goals, On one handis to compensate for the lack of previous; On the other hand is causing attention to theQing Tripitaka research by the Buddhist circles, academic circles and the academia.This article is divided three chapters:The first chapter using the historical research method, combining with the lateMing and early Qing era background and social environment, through to the YongZheng emperor Zen Buddhism ideology research, draws the conclusion: On thesurface,Yong Zheng emperor using his Zen Buddhism thought to selective ZenBuddhism monks quotations, delete the North Tripitaka and edit the Qing Tripitaka’list. Actully, it is Yong Zheng using his prolicense practice and enlightenment, toachieve his political goals.In the second chapter, on the base of using all kinds of reference literatures, theauthor looks up the Imperial Household files and local topographys and monasteriesedited in Qing Dynasty from China First Historical Archives, descripts the QingTripitaka’ name, volume number, blush and current issues such as ination, attemptingto make up for the lack of previous research, intends to outline the Qing Tripitaka’clear overview. Third chapter makes a researeh on the Qing Tripitaka’ printing history in twenty-fiveyears (1936), through to the" Beijing Buddhist magazine", and related information’sstudy, Sums up three characteristics:The first one is different temples and Buddhistgroups participated in the Qing Tripitaka’ printing in twenty-five years; Secondly,unitary printing and partial printing happened at the same time; Ultimately, thecommunity and Buddhist groups took part in this activity simultaneity. After a wholecomparative with the Qing Tripitaka’ printing, I come to a conclusion that the QingTripitaka’printing in twenty-five years is the sole event in the Qing Tripitaka’printinghistory.
