However, thefamous singer Callas has such an outstanding ability to mould her voicethat she displayes an unparalleled vocal range by applying varieties ofsoprano parts with ease. She has great ability to control her tone and herperformance is the most original interpretation and profoundestunderstanding of the opera, thus presenting her audience the real art ofopera. A perfect tone is not the only prerequisite condition to thepresentation of complex feelings such as sadness and happiness. Thereforethe art of opera performances has no criterion for absolute correct tone.A tone gets a reasonable existence so long as it can convey the feelingan opera intends to express. Voice moulding ability in a real sense is notto learn to control the vocal cord but to control vocal organs with thebrain;thus a clear-minded artist can be highly competent in singing throughflexibly switching between different vocal organs. Many modern andcontemporaty vocalists broke through traditional concepts and began toaccetp the concept of moulding voice. They made some researches in thisfield and at the same time have attempted different styles such as folksinging, bel canto, and popular singing. Vocalists should become moreopen-minded and embrace new concepts so as to enrich and diversify the vocalart on the basis of scientific development. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | sporano, opera role, Callas, voice moulding ability, development tendency | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
