In The "great Leap Forward" Movement "jining Event"

1956-1966is the ten years of comprehensive construction socialist and socialist tortuousdevelopment. In these ten years, the socialist construction of our country has made greatachievements, but at the same time, we also have had serious mistakes, and experienced thetortuous process of development. Such a mistake and twists reflects in the1959to1961years,that is, three years of difficult economic times. This paper will research "Jining event"happened in this period. In the winter of1958the food shortage of Jining begins to highlight,by the spring of1959the problem throughout the province, it can be said that the foodshortage of Jining was a preview and a miniature of the province even of the whole country."Jining event" means from the winter of the1958to the spring of the1959the seriousfood shortage even so starving people events that had been happened in Shandong Jining. Theevent is the result of the interaction of various factors. Scraping the coxcombical wind, thecommunist wind, the cadre specialized wind, the forced commands and the arbitrary orders,and on the grain problem implementating a high index, high yield, high purchase policy andso on, which is the most fundamental cause of "Jining event".In the face of the serious food shortage in Jining, the Chinese Communist Party CentralCommittee and the Shandong provincial party committee emergently took the followingmeasures: such as held a series of "compressed air" meetings; sent working groups toinvestigate at the difficult counties; tuned out food, issued the social relief, treated the sickpeople; rehabilitated the cadres and the masses who had been criticized by error; rectified thepeople’s commune, implemented its policy, solve the grain problem and system issue. Thesemeasures made Jining area through the food shortage smoothly, but because the move basedon the sufficient affirmation on the superiority of the "Great Leap Forward" and the People’sCommune, there was not corrected the "left" errors from guiding ideology, therefore, Jiningarea failed to solve the problems existed in the "Great Leap Forward”, also meant that thesolution of "Jining event" just was a small step of correcting "left" process, and soon wentback again.The General Line, the Great Leap Forward and the People’s Commune "three red flags"as the representation and the character of the mass movement, had been exposed the seriousdefects in early1959."Jining event" just was one example, not an isolated event, it was apreview and a miniature of the Great Leap Forward Disaster in. By its unique angle of view itreflected many problems on the" Great Leap Forward" and the People’s Commune Movement,while presented some methods and experience in solutions of these problems. But unfortunately, we had not seriously draw lessons, could not sum up the conclusion of thisevent fundamentally, thus, later there were countless similar “events".Past experience, if not forgotten, is a guide for the future. In-depth analysis on "Jiningevent" can help us deepen the understand of the Great Leap Forward Disaster and the greateffect and harm imposed on China’s socialist modernization by the "left" errors, and help usdraw the positive and negative aspects of the experience to continue with the past and open upthe future, to seek a better solution of the issues concerning agriculture, the countryside andfarmers, and to have a better construction of a new socialist countryside.
