Rhythm is a crucial element to express musical thoughts. Therefore the training ofnatural rhythm in the study of music should not be ignored. In the teaching of solfeggiomajors, the traditional teaching strategy is by applying the traditional method of using“DA,DA,DA…”as the method to acquire the sense of rhythm. This method has its owndisadvantages of lacking changes of rhythm, being monotonous, absence of the specificterms for rhythm, the way to pronounce the numbers of rhythm ,and the length ofmusical notes. The relationship between these elements are detached, without anyinherent bonds. In the daily musical teaching, if the musical thoughts and terms are soabstract to be comprehended, it will unavoidably bring inconveniences to daily musicalpractice. In order to solve this problem, the author makes a comparative analysis betweenthe special rhythm terms used home and abroad, and draws a conclusion that quantitativerhythm is the most applicable and simplest method to teach in the daily musical study. Bymeans of collecting and sorting out the rhythmic terms in the native and foreignsolfeggio reference books, the author is fully aware of the practical values of applyingthe quantitative rhythm in daily classroom teaching. With the support given byquestionnaires and evaluation, there is sound and reliable basis for quantitative rhythmsto be taught. The author also invites the experts in the musical circle to test if the methodproposed in the article is applicable.
