Mo-tse is our great thinker, educator, philosopher, strategist during the warring statesperiod .Along with Confucianism, monism was ever taken as Significant Study. His Conceptsof Righteousness and Benefits develops even beyond Confucian Concepts of Righteousness andBenefits, Confucius pays attention to Righteousness and look down on Benefits, Righteousnessoppose to Benefits; Mo-tse advocates both Benefits and Righteousness to unit them. The maincontent of his Concepts of Righteousness and Benefits is praise both simultaneously; Universallove and Mutual interests；and put the interests of the state and the people in the first place.Mo-tse’s ideas of Universal love and Mutual interests is an advancing social consciousness,which stands for the interests of Lower civilian class and be left out by ruling class in his ages.Mo-tse’s thoughts has great significance at present because everyone is equal without classdifference in our country, which has great influences on Building a harmonious society,developing socialist market economy,World peace and development.So today there are not onlytheoretical values but also realistic significance in the study of his Concepts of Righteousnessand Benefits today. This article mainly includes three sections.The formation of Mo-tse’s Concepts of Righteousness and Benefits is discussed from Theeconomic, political and cultural and class foundation on the basis of historical background,which is the formation of feudal relations of production to economic setting; the bankruptcy ofPatriarchal hierarchy system to political setting; a hundred schools of thought contend to thedevelopment and prosperity of culture. His representative class basis is small producer, thetheoretical basis of his thoughts are Heaven、the theory of human nature、utilitarianism.The connotation of Mo-tse’s Concepts of Righteousness and Benefits is discussed in thesecond part Firstly , Mo-tse’s Righteousness and Benefits and the unit of them ;secondly, thecharacters of Mo-tse’s Concepts of Righteousness and Benefits are analyzed from threefactors :motivation and consistent results; bidirectional ;people-based thought .Finally, there arethree aspects to ensure the implement of Mo-tse’s thoughts: to save in funeral and apply isguarantee in economics ;to commend wise and commonality is guarantee in politics; to takerighteousness and Universal love is guarantee in ethics.The historic significance and realistic value of Mo-tse’s Concepts of Righteousness and Benefits are mainly expounded in the third part. Though there are some inevitable negativeaspects such as his ideas of daydream and feudalism and superstition, We must absorb andusing for reference from Mo-tse’s refined thoughts .We should put attention to digging therealistic value of his thoughts. Our country executes is the socialist market economic system sothere are some problems out of Market economy spontaneity, such as the tendency of moneyworship and egoism .How to get our legitimate interests in market economic system ? How tocope with the relationship between interests and morality? Mo-tse’s thoughts have great effecton the solution of the problems.
