With the rapid development of global economy and quality of life,, people have been pursuing a better life and paid more attention on clothing design, material, combination of colors and the social function of clothing. Besides, the public also cares more about the influence on apparel industry from realm of spirit, which stimulates the development of apparel industry. However, just like everything in the world, fashion has its pros and cons too. The positive ethical effect of fashion makes a great impact on the development of public ethic. We should highly appreciate and use fashion as a powerful tool to build our social civilization. But on the other hand, we also shall rationally realize its negative side.The contemporary society is changing to a fashion society with a value of fashion. People take the value of fashion as the most important one, which brings serious problems on environment and society. This is against the social moral code of ethics. To avoid the dark side of fashion, we shall eliminate its spontaneity and blindness and lead the tendency on a right direction. This paper is aimed to emphasize the development of social fashion as well as the fashion ethics, balance the sustainable development of designing ethics. The designing ethics is always the inside motivator of designing practice and dominate the practice as well. As the need for profit from producers and need for self satisfaction from customers, the garment production has making a great waste of natural resources. Therefore, we shall not only realize importance of the designing ethics, but also find the effective solutions to decrease the harm, providing a more health, more fashionable and better apparel industry and shopping environment.
