The Attentional Blink is an universal phenomenon in the attention territory which reflects the impaired ability to identify the2nd of two targets presented in close succession. Recent study found that the Attentional Blink can be reduced substantially when participants are distracted during the task without a cost for T1performance, for instance by adding a distract task. Here we change the distraction task’s attributes by increase or decrease the distraction task’s weight and its distracted level to research the relationship between the Attentional Blink and the distraction task’s attributes. We found that the distraction task’s weight indeed influence the size of the Attentional Blink. Increasing the distraction task’s weight will substantial reduce the Attentional Blink. In addition, this research further discussed weather the distraction task’s distracted level has an influence on Attentional Blink. We found there is a positive correlation between the distraction task’s distracted level and the Attentional Blink. The bigger distracted lever, the larger Attentional Blink size. But the research also discovered that T1is not affected by the distraction task’s distracted level which is not march the theory of The Overinvestment Hypothesis. Through this study, we confirmed the relationship between Working Memory and the Attentional Blink, at the same time, we also enriched and developed The Overinvestment Hypothesis, and this can give some reference to the Attentional Blink explanation.
