Study On Attentional Blink And Attentional Ability Of High-level Players With Different Attentional Type

Attentional Blink is post-target sitimuli processing defecit in rapid serial visual presentationwhen the subjects are asked to detect the target stimuli. It has promising usages as a deeply index of concentration of attention -the key demension of attentional ability. Research on athletics' attentional ability both has theoretical and applied values, however, because of lag of experimental methods and tools to evaluate on it, researches past couldn't point to the center of the question..With the self-developed software of "BT-LYR Attentional Ability Testing (1.0 editon)", three group high-level players with different attentional type respectively and common undergraduate students major in Physical Education were tested. Fuzzy Comprehensive Methods was used to evaluate high-level players' event-oriented attentional comprehensive ability, results showed that players with different attentional type have different attentional blink and attentional ability.1. High-level table-tennis players with circumtances-directed attentional type only have slightly attentional blink, its lowest point is 135ms after target stimuli position,the first attentional blink's span last only 540ms, all the other three group have significant attentional blink ,the lowest point 270ms after target stimuli position , last time 945ms.2. Compared with common undergraduate students major in P.E.,Table-tennis players and moving-target shooters have the attentional characteristics of higher level of attentional width and attentional concentration , still-target shooters have lower level of attentional shift. Compared with two attentional type shooters, table-tennis players have higher level of attentional concentration, attentional shift and event-oriented attentional comprehensive ability.3. The characteristics of attentional blink and attentional ability of high-level players resulted both from heredity and athletic training, therefore, Players with different attentional type have different attentional training emphasis: the key point for table-tennis players is to lower or delete completely their attentional blink,improve attentional concentration> attentional shift and attentional width.still-target shooters to improve attentional width and attentional distribution, moving-target shooters to attentional width and attentional shift.
