Lv Shi Chun Qiu is an overarching ideology works which was organized written byretainers of the minister Buwei Lv in Qin Period. It not only inherits many advantages of thePre-Qin prose writing, but also provides important references for the later prose writing. It hasthe characters such as signaling and linking, fusing and continuing the past and future. The styleof the book is specific rigorous, and covers and contains everything with shallow language. It isthe history of Chinese prose, and even a rare literary history work. However, from the numerousstatements and achievements of Lv Shi Chun Qiu, it can be found that the investigation is notmuch with a literary view. Articles start from the originality of the Pre-Qin Prose development,combining the characters of thinking and exposition to investigate, and hope to obtain the newview and discovery with the basic of the pre-investigation.This dissertation contains four sections to expand discussion without introduction andconclusion.The introduction made conclusion and analysis for Lv Shi Chun Qiu from four parts whichwere history, literatures, thoughts and comparison. It indicated that the works not only hassuccessful achievements, and disadvantages. It referred the function and investigation necessaryof the works on the development history of Pre-Qin Prose. Meanwhile, it led to the investigationsubject of the dissertation.The first section mainly discussed the important status and special function of Lv Shi ChunQiu on the history of Chinese prose. It stated the writen precedent of the retainers and theoriginality in the form and contens.The second section described that it was named Ecletics, but combined with fusioncharacters of Lv Shi Chun Qiu from the generous and vast mind.The third section stated the creation function and perfection of it. It concluded the wholearticle with statements and had the limited count. The structure of the works was brief andwell-disciplined, and the argumentations were concise and powerful. At the same time, this bookwas embodied with actual facts and histories.The fourth section used few representative rhetorical devices to do simple discussion fromLv Shi Chun Qiu, and researched the special charms in languages.The final part will conclude Lv Shi Chun Qiu, which would meet the necessary of thehistory and have the foresight at the same time. Moreover, it has been made significant affectionfor the development of the Pre-Qin prose.
