Shi Jing is the world’s oldest collection of lyric poetry from the early years of XI ZHOU tothe middle period of CHUN QIU which can tell us something about lives of XI ZHOU people. Itfeatures as the description of consanguinity, amphiprotic and the relationship between thesupreme ruler and officials. As one of the source of the Confucian school’s ethics, Shi Jingcontains a wealth of ethical thought, which helps us to trace the source of the ideas of thetraditional family ethics of great significance and role. On the basis of previous research, theauthor mainly study Shi Jing, and keep Zuo Zhuan, Chou Li,Rites, Book of Rites and otherdocuments for reference, combined with the corresponding archaeological data, and strive tomake people have a comprehensive awareness and understanding of family relations in the ChouDynasty, and then expand the field of study of the Shi Jing.The first part discusses the basic characteristics of the formation, classification and traits offamily relations in Chou Dynasty. The second part of the system contains from the marriagecustoms, lives and levy served, couples ethical and political marriage, a detailed exposition ofthe ethical relationship between husband and wife. The third part expounds the ethics of parentsand children and the patriarchal system and the moral sentiments. Part four discusses the thebrothers ethics to be followed by the patriarchal clan system, and the moral bankruptcy of thebrothers rebel. The end of the article briefly mentioned characteristics and the inquiry of Shi Jingin the ethical relationship of the significance of ethics in the Chou Dynasty.Family Ethics in Shi Jing is an important source of Confucian ethics, for a betterunderstanding of the Chou Dynasty of ethical thought and moral, so from an ethical point ofview of Shi Jing subject to further expand anddepth.
