The purpose of the thesis is an overview and as well a reorganisation of philosophical thoughts which generalized from the writer’s traditional Chinese painting study process. In the thesis,the writer elaborated that under the backround of today’s complicated and restless society, how important it is to our cultural life of paying close attention to the nature and looking back into our own hearts."Learn outward from nature,get inward from heart". In traditional Chinese culture, the harmony between man and nature has always been pursued as the ideal state of art,it can be reflected from every aspect of Chinese classics,no matter weather it is in the field of literature,calligraphy,painting,music or sculpture. As one part of the nature,,human beings are the main body in the art perceiving and creating process as well as a part of the art space. The meaning of returning back to the nature is actually another way to say the harmony between man and nature.An unaffected artistic expression is just a real temperament expression of yourself.No matter the "law of nature"theory of Taoism,or the Inner Clean Throughout theory of Zen Mind,with the real examples of the harmony between man and nature which come from traditional Chinese culture, the text elaborated its significance to the direction of artistic creation in the future.
