In this paper, we study the special sentence “question structureform+ba” in modern Chinese. We detailed review the previous researchof this sentence and “ba”. Drawing on the worthies of the previousresearch and starting from the problem, we do a concrete analysis of itsthree classifications. It refers “interrogative question structure form+ba”,“positive-negative question structure form+ba”,“alternative questionstructure form+ba”. We study each sentence’s syntactic structure, typeof sentence, the functional types, discourse function of “ba”, the natureand functions of special ingredients “you say”. From the syntax,functions, pragmatics, etc. We dynamically and comprehensiveanalyze of this sentence and “ba”.In addition to study visits and comments the status of other research,this total is divided into four sections:The first chapter, we combined description and functionalisminterpretation of law to describe “interrogative question structureform+ba”,“positive-negative question structure form+ba”,“alternativequestion structure form+ba”. We study each sentence’s syntacticstructure, type of sentence, mood particle “ba”. It reveals the diversityin the distribution of sentence categories and tone functions of “ba” inthe “question structure form+ba”.Chapter2, we flexibly use the substitution method and the theory ofsubjectivity and subjective to analyze doubt degree of “questionstructure form+ba” and high subjective degree “ba”. It reveals a varietyof sentence types existence of this particular sentence’s characteristicsand underlying causes.Chapter3, we use “Speech Act Theory” to analyze this particularsentence, the discourse function of mood particle “ba” and themotivation to use mood particle “ba” in pragmatics.
