Entering the21th century, with the further development of productivity, the methodsof science and technology become increasingly innovative day after day. When peopleare satisfactory with the needs of material and living, they request more on livingquality.“Vision”, as an effective way for people to perceive outside world, itsdevelopment just becomes an effective way of information communication and abridge to connect different local cultures. Today graphic design could not only provideconvenient service for material life, but also enrich man’s spiritual and cultural life. It isbecause of the background of industrial technology development and globalization,graphic design has experienced from birth, development, evolution to a comprehensivefeature covering variety, multiplicity, cross discipline, and takes on a tendency of edgevagueness which gradually impacts on graphic design development.First, the birth of art is intimately relative with graphic design. The forms of arttake an important influence on graphic design. With various proceeding of artmovements and the exploration and thinking about the forms of art by artiststhemselves, the development of graphic design has been influenced, so that its connectbecome rich continuously and design presentation and skills diverse.Second, the aim of graphic design is information exchange, and the process ofcommunication shall have the characters of replicability and communicability. Itdecides that its development shall be compactly connected with paper-making, printingand different kinds of industrial technologies of the sort. With the breakthrough of newindustrial technology, there is a more free and broad platform for graphic design to takeits role and display. The multiplicity of visual presentations is impacting on thecommunication methods of graphic design. The continuous development of industrialtechnology propels the diversity of presentation to a large extent, and also influences onthe variety of modern graphic design methods and skills.Furthermore, Facing The Economical Globalization, people understandthemselves constantly, make “creativity” to work in kinds of filed, besides technologysatisfy market need. In addition, with the rise of the creative Class, make differentindividual in kinds of production fields can merged. And form different designmanifestations and contents. The creativity spur Graphic design is not just abouttraditional style.The freedom of development thinking make it more diversified,diversification. The edge of graphic design became more and more vague.it lead to thefeature of cross-disciplinary and comprehensive. With the graphic design present the characteristics of edger vague, it give thatmodern graphic designers have higher demnand. They professional competence extendin different major field generally,for example, buildings, science and technology,entertainment, fashion, public service and so on, also need to study ability of writing,editing, publishing and enterprise management, brand growth of service,etc.This paper mainly that research the history of graphic design process in the formand style, and I study graphic design theory knowledge and the practice experience,analysis and explanation modern graphic design under the trend of "edge blur" appearsto have a range of professional development, enhance the characteristic ofcomprehensive, and these characteristics effect the previous definition of graphicdesign have a fundamental change.Finally, i hope analysis that the characteristics of the modern graphic design "edgeblur". and give the some role of development of graphic design for our country,including the new understand of graphic design professional, require the designers havecomprehensive ability to cross major.
