Byzantine civilization penetrated into Russian culture more than1,000years, from6th century to15th.It was in the early Russia that had shaped its absolute autocratic concept, church-state relations, laws and regulations, literature, architect, painting techniques, cultural attributes and so on. I mainly discussed the said topics from above aspects, and showed sources of Russian culture, the position of Russian culture.This paper divided into five sections:The first part, there is an overview of associated historical period of Byzantine and Russia. The phase was divided into three period:early exchanges, Rus baptized and associated after introduction of Orthodox. Before988AD, the way of associations between Russia and Byzantine was limited to war; After that both parties focused on the status, free and independence of Kievan-Russia church.The second section reveals Byzantine political ideas in Russian. Byzantine is source of Rus dictatorial ideology, especially regime and authoritarian were consolidated by holy authoritarianism,"Third Rome" through the spirit and doctrine. Relations between church and state in Rus also are born of the theory of "Harmonious politico-religious relationships" from Byzantine. They associated by struggle for economic privileges, independence of judicature and political standing. Ultimately, it gave rise to traditionally that imperial power had been higher than magisterium.The third phase is the core of this article, especially point out Byzantine influence from legal angel. Including’the Law of Treaties’,’Russia Pravda’,the sources of canon law and its characteristics in the post-Kievan period.’Treaty law’relating to legal concepts of civil, commercial, criminal, diplomatic law and so on. Gradually it accepted by Ross. Rus customary law, which appeared in "Treaty law", together with "Ecloga","Nomos Georgikos" created "Russia Pravda"."Nomocanon " turned up in Rus and canon law inherited the characteristics of Byzantine that, which linked to secular law. After Byzantine broke up, specially discusses effect of Byzantine on "the Code of1497"," the Code of1649".Fourth Part reveals the role of Byzantine in literature and arts. Byzantine shaped language and literature models of Rus. The former promoted development of "onion" construction and Madonna painting of Russian.The fifth section considers the location of Russian culture. Oriental values of Rus culture is a product of initial contact with Byzantine. Even after the demise of Byzantines, the latter still have an impact on Russia. Mongolia is only outside impetus of Oriental civilization.19AD, East or Western value system of civilization, led to social division and cultural controversy in Russia.
