Along with the constant rise of our country’s national power and international position, the population of coming to China for learning Chinese has been increasing day by day. How to guide foreign students into learning status and correctly use basic Chinese that has been already became the main task for Chinese teachers. In the class of teaching Chinese as foreign language, it’s a very common phenomenon for teachers to switch between Chinese and other languages. Learners are learning a new language in switching two languages or several languages, when learners learn target language, they also would usually switch and convert intentionally, rapidly, skillfully between their own language and the new language.Teaching Chinese as foreign language, especially for the beginners, code-switching is often seen, this article mainly analyses code-switching in the class of teaching Chinese as foreign language, proves that teachers use code-switching properly during class would help students to understand the new knowledge efficiently, and also keep the class fluent and entertained, emphasis the difficulties and focal points. The code-switching that between students and teachers, students and students could keep the class active, enhance the affinity and cohesion, so that achieve the aim of improving learning efficiency.
