Japanese Students Chinese Compound Tends To Complement The Word Acquisition Errors Analysis And Teaching Countermeasures

Complex directional complement in modern Chinese features in its sophisticatedmeanings which indicate both motion direction and other meanings instead of direction.Such extension usage reflects Chinese culture. Therefore, the “predicate+directionalcomplement” is an outstanding difficulty in foreigner’s learning Chinese, for various errorsfrequently appear. Generally speaking,“directional complement” is a unique element inChinese sentence structure, while there is no “predicate+directional complement”structure in English, French, Russian, German, Japanese, Italian and other languages.However, the author thinks that in Japanese, there is a grammatical structure called“predicate+Auxiliary Verb” structure which is similar to “predicate+directionalcomplement” structure.At present, there are studies on effective teaching methodology special for the foreignstudents in learning Chinese directional complement, especially for English nativespeakers and Japanese student. However, so far, not a report on Japanese student’s erroranalysis with an approach of comparing the extension usage of Chinese directionalcomplement with the extension usage of Japanese auxiliary verb has been found. Thisdissertation takes the extension usage of directional complement as study object, comparesthe exertion meaning of the auxiliary verb in Japanese and studies its negative transfer, itstendency and causes, and put forward some suggestion on how to effectively teach theJapanese students the extension usage of directional complement by analyzing theJapanese student’s special errors through on-site questionnaire.
