Jia Pingwa is a rural narrative writer who is under the spotlight in the contemporary literary world. Chang an culture based on the farming civilization provides rich spiritual resource and cultural civilization for his literary creation and establishes his compacted literary mental structure-the deep love for the land of Chang an. It’s on this meaning that, Jia Pingwa’s creation has rich cultural connation as well as the meaning of the thought. At the same time, Jia Pingwa not only shows the Strong sense of identity and belonging to Chang an culture where he stays, but also inherits the compassion of the in the scholar-bureaucrat’s class and the bottom of the folk culture. He always pays attention to social development, the real life and the survival patterns of the underlying groups. It is in the nourishment of these historical and cultural resources, Jia Pingwa creates a series of literatures with Chang an culture. However, the study of Chang an Culture and Jia Pingwa is still very weak. The academic circle is critical of the creation of Jia pingwa. Especially after the creation of1990s, Jia pingwa seems to be involved in some kind of mental difficulties and can’t be detached. His works take on a stylized tendency. In view of this, this thesis will select the perspective of Chang an culture to cut into Jia pingwa as well as the art world of his novel’s creation, explores the Chang an traditional cultural factors implied in his works, analyzes this "cultural factor" to the profound cultural and psychological influence of the writer; further interprets his contradictory mind between rural and urban, traditional and modern ambivalence; and explores his significance of literary creation in the new era of cultural and ideological connotations.The introduction:it discusses the reason of the study based on Chang an culture, meaning and the current status quo. Chang an culture is cultural roots and spiritual resources for the contemporary Qin writers. In the moist of such resources, writers not only obtain the content and form of self-expression, but also confirm the self-artistic connation and literary character. Jia Pingwa is a typical representative among them.The first chapter:it mainly explores the writer’s early living experiences, inner experience, and cultural ideas of inheritance’s effects on literary creation from the cultural shaping of the Chang an culture to Jia Pingwa culture. Long-term rural life and traditional cultural heritage make the idea of "farmers" to recognize, the spiritual orientation of the "farmers" and the aesthetic taste of’"farmers" penetrate into the blood of the writer. Because of this, Jia Pingwa always adheres to the identity of the "farmers" He consciously sings the praise of traditional rural civilization, the exclusion of modern urban civilization through the perspective of the "farmers" contemplating the country and city. At the same time, he also inherits of Chang an folk culture and uses the civil position, the posture of edge to create literature, which is closer to the bottom of people’s living conditions, to touch the depths of their souls, and to analyze the deep spiritual world. The degradation of Rural land, the decline of culture, the collapse of ethic, all indicate the fierce conflict of between the rural traditional culture and modern culture, finally will walk toward the demise step by step.The fifth chapter:it illustrates the literary historical significance and spiritual limitations of Jia Pingwa’s rural narration. Jia Pingwa insist on combining the "realism" and "write virtual", which not only reveals the social living reality fully describing their inner pain anxiety, but also makes works of cultural significance far-reaching and adds to the beauty of a chaotic dim. He still persists in viewing traditional culture with modern consciousness, using the national form of "Oriental flavor" and "Chinese flavor" to make a construction and try to integrate into the trend of world literature. However, Jia Pingwa persists in the "agricultural" status, which is good for viewing two civilizations in urban and rural areas, but there are not fewer defects, such as without enough power of judgment, single narration, and poor imagination and so on.Conclusion:it further relates the Chang an culture, which is an important source of he spirit of the creation of Jia Pingwa novel, and is also a rural narrative valuable choice and cultural purport. However, the addiction to this culture also brings a certain negative impact to his creation.
