In order to explore the characteristics of the relationship amongst form, sound and meaning in Dai-Chinese bilingual mental lexical, and the changes of such characteristics with the improvement of Chinese level, the author has done six priming experiments based on students of Grade two, Grade four, and Grade six, which are randomly selected from one primary Dai-Chinese bilingual school. Spoken Dai, spoken Chinese and written Chinese are used as materials in experiments. The research results are as follows:(1)The reaction time of retrieve meanings from picture, spoken Dai, spoken Chinese and written Chinese of Grade two is significantly longer than Grade four and six;(2)The connection between spoken Chinese and its meaning has been formed in Grade two as same as spoken Dai, which is steady with the Grade rising;(3)It is weak for the connection between written Chinese and its meaning in Grade two. The associative strength, however, is intensified with the Grade rising;(4)The connection between spoken Chinese and written Chinese is in a weak condition while it is strong between written Chinese and spoken Chinese. In other words, spoken Chinese plays a key role in mental lexical;(5)The connection between spoken Dai and spoken Chinese has been formed in Grade two. And its strength keeps steady with Grade rising. Spoken Dai have great promptly effects on written Chinese understanding in Grade two, but the influence decreases with Grade rising.
