Ancient Uygur folk song is not only an integral part of Uygur literature and culture in miniature but also an integral part of Chinese cultural heritage.This Paper can be divided into five parts:introduction, the definition of folk songs, as well as a brief introduction and analysis for the general characteristics of ancient Uygur folk songs. The first chapter introduce the ancient Uygur folk sessions. Based on the findings of ancient Uygur folk song information, respectively from the earliest extant ancient Uygur folk song-《Edict Le Song》, the Uighur Khanate period Mobei prairie folk (605---840), Gaochang Uighur Kingdom period the folk songs (850---1284), West Liao Kingdom to Yarkand Khanate period folk songs (947---1678), the Qing Dynasty folk songs (1644---1911) these five stages. This chapter discusses the evolution in various Uighur folk songs stages. Chapter, the type of ancient Uygur folk characteristics introduce the brief classification and Analysis of its artistic character for the ancient Uygur folk. Chapter Ⅲ, the ancient Uygur folk culture. This chapter elaborates the relationship between the ancient Uygur folk and religion, folk customs and the literary creation respectively. And then reveal the depth culture of ancient Uygur folk. Epilogue part discusses the status of ancient Uygur folk song and its impact. Ancient Uygur folk song is the original history source of Uygur literature. It conceived and produced a Uighur literary and cultural traditions. With Uygur folk the ancient Uighur valuable literary heritage can be preserved, and it also provide a lot of reference for us. It can provide valuable materials for the study of ancient Uygur history, culture, customs, arts and culture, It is an integral part of the Chinese cultural heritage.
