Autism is a pervasive developmental disorder with the main symptoms of perception, emotion, speech, cognition, behavior and other disorders. The children have specially unusual response to hearing stimulation and are unable to understand others’speech. It will make the training and the education of the autistic children difficulty. Drawing is the naturally tool to express the feeling of human being. Drawing possesses its unique functions. It can not only settle human being’s emotion and metal problems, but also decrease psychological obstruction of sufferers’self-esteem, self-conception and social ability.This thesis developed a set of assessment tools for the drawing ability of the autistic children, basing on reading research books on autistic children, clinical observation, interviewing the relevant personnel (teachers, parents of the autistic children). Furthermore, with reference to the contents and results from the training program for autistic children center in NJ, this thesis developed a set of appropriate attention corrective course. I hope it will help the autistic children to improve their drawing skills and it can be helpful to the rehabilitation training for them.The research wants to show that:First, self-compiled questionnaire of this study-the questionnaire of autistic children motor development assessment has good reliability and validity. It is a credible and reliable questionnaire. The age of children with autism have a significant impact on motor development, and the older have the higher level of motor development. The length of training time for children with autism has a significant impact on motor development, and the longer have the higher level of motor development.Second, the training programs, curricula and methods of the autistic children’s motor development are effective. The level of motor development of the children with autism is improved significantly after training.In short, the autistic children have common defects on drawing, especially in need of imagination dimension and thinking dimension in drawing, but the drawing skills after training can be improved.
