The new Individual psychology is a contemporary psychoanalytic school with multiple orientations that develops after Alfred Adler. The new Individual psychology is an important part of contemporary psychoanalysis, with the main theory characteristics of integrity, constructivity and pluralism. Taking the method of literature studying and theory analyzing, the dissertation combs and studies the achievement of new individual psychology systematically and globally. On the basis generalization of the main branch of new individual psychology, the dissertation elaborates its basic theory and clinical theory, overviews its clinical contents and forms, introduces its research finds in the practice of education, and makes some comments, prospects the development tendency of its future.It expands the range of the original theory and practice of individual psychology, enriches the clinical theory of psychoanalysis, and deepens the educational ideas of psychology. The new individual psychology makes further exploration of personality dynamics and personality structure in the theory, provides a variety of clinical formations and advances educational practice formations in the practice. In addition, it makes use of the empirical research methods to confirm many concepts, enriches the tools of psychoanalytic research, and greatly improves the scientificity of psychoanalysis. However, there are few limits in the new individual psychology, including the absence of a systematic and unitary theory, a framework with general explanation power, and there is a danger for it to split with the long tendency of pluralistic development. So it faces difficult changes in the future of the new individual psychology.
