Text Folk Phenomenon Of The Study

In this essay, from the perspective of "research phenomenon of folklore embedded in fictions", I have organized the occurrences, development process, and the outcomes of research methodologies of folklore embedded in fictions for the recent three decades since the1980s, and have explored the deep reasons behind. Through the research process, I have found out that there is an internally tight connection between folk culture and fictions, and that the important function played by folk culture in fictions has aroused researchers’attentions on folk culture, resulting in the generation of the research methodology of folk culture via fictions. Such research methodology has drawn researchers’attention on fictions which contain enriched and abundant folk culture materials, deepening the horizontal development of research on fictions to a certain extent. Nevertheless, such research methodology has resulted in the problem that the complexity of folk culture itself has been simplified.The body of the essay has been arranged into five sections. Chapter1is "Introduction", meant to explain the research motives and objectives before conducting research, and to compile major and relevant bibliography, and to succinctly illustrate and define research scopes and research methodologies. Chapter2is "the Generation and Development of Research Phenomenon on Folklore Embedded in Fictions", meant to explore its generation background, development process, meanings and features under such research methodology, deriving the conclusion that the research phenomenon on folklore embedded in Chinese fictions is the result based upon literature and folk culture, through the process of gradual deepening development. Chapter3is the "Multi-facet Research on Folklore Embedded in Fictions". From the perspectives of Classical Fictions and Modern Chinese Novels, I have explained the folklore fiction research situations since the1980s, and have obtained major research approaches of these researchers under their research processes so far. Chapter4is "the Discussion and Reflections on the Problems Derived from Doing Folklore Fiction Research", leading to the conclusion that there should be a distinction between folk literature researchers and literature researchers when undertaking research on folklore via fictions. Folk literature researchers should adopt the research theories and research methodologies of folk literature, and if there is no distinction, then the research body’s conclusion should be made based upon the literature researchers’methodologies. The Last Chapter is the "Conclusion" of the whole essay, concluding that how does the research on folklore embedded in fiction generate values under researchers’research perspectives and attitudes, and what impacts have been brought to folk culture under this folklore fiction methodology adopted by the researchers. Meanwhile, I have articulated the research findings and research restrictions, and based upon the research conclusions, I would like to provide future researchers with some advice and directions. At the end of the essay I have attached references and bibliography.
