Guxian dialect belongs to the Fenhe part of Zhongyuan dialect, and becauseGuxian lies in Shanxi province, its dialect is influenced by both Zhongyuandialect and Jin dialect. The article describes the distinctive grammarphenomenon of Guxian dialect, including morphology and syntax, and makescomparison with mandarin.About morphology, the article describes three particular word-buildingmethods: the combined-syllable words and the divided-syllable words, affixationand superposition, which embody the characters of Guxian dialect’s grammar.The combined-syllable words and the divided-syllable words is the consequenceof Jin dialect’s influence, and the special affixes in Guxian includes“ge”“hu”“bu” and “zi”, what’s more, the superposition method in Guxiandialect is more complicated than that in mandarin.About syntax, interrogative sentence, passive sentence and two sentencestructures are chosen and described in detail.
