A Study Of The Guxian Dialect

Guxian county belongs to Linfen city of Shanxi province.Anze county bordering the east,Hongtong county is adjacent to the west.The north of it are Qinyuan county and Huozhou city and the south are Fushan county and Linfen city.According to the "Partition of the Shanxi dialect"(Hou Jingyi,Wen Duanzheng,Tian Xicheng,"Dialect",1986)and "Partition of Jin dialect"(Hou Jingyi,"Dialect",1986),the Guxian dialect belongs to Pingyang small piece,Fenhe part of Zhongyuan Mandarin.This survey primarily analyzes phonology,vocabulary and grammar:first,phonology, introduce phonological features, the relationship of initial and final and tone, homonyms, comparison between ancient phonology and modern phonology, the differences between spoken language and written language,the analysis of exceptions and so on and reflect the whole of the Guxian dialect based on synchronic and diachronic angles, in order to bring out the Guxian phonology thoroughly;second,vocabulary,we mainly collect some characteristic words to explain and describe, including a number of Four-character idioms; Third,grammar,we will make a detailed description and analysis about the classification and usage of adverbs, the composition and grammatical function of Four-character idioms in Guxian dialect.
