Research investigated the history of the Russian Far East and Northeast China through analysis of geographical names, analyses the common condition of the place names and took its evolution level.Author according to the Russian explorers way of the ⅩⅦ century study place names and compare China and Russia explanation of these geographical names.Research work is divided into the following chapters. The first chapter introduces the explorer Moskvitin to the of the West Bank of the Russian Pacific Ocean. The second chapter describes Poyarkov expedition and its voyage along the Amur River. The third chapter describes Habarov to Amur River expedition and the examination of local names. The fourth chapter describes the origin of the name of the Heilongjiang and the Amur River. Using original documents we give the detailed description of expedition way and study the place names. We make sum the origin of the name of the Heilongjiang in the final chapter.From the Sino-Russian cross-cultural communication and explore the Far East geographical names we investigate the Russian and Chinese place names. Study of Russian Far East has a big help to the history of the development of Russia-China policy, geography, history, economy, cultural exchange between countries. Study of place names is one of the most important aspects of the practical and theoretical research in the development history of the Russian Far East and Northeast China: territorial claims, the mark of the earth and space, the nature of the cultural and economic advancement in the process of historical testimony.
