Franz·Liszt (1811-1886) is undoubtedly a milestone master in the European Romantic style in the past two hundred years. He seems the embodiment of piano art. The notes played by his fingers with infinite magic, guide people to appreciate piano charm.Liszt created a lot of piano transcriptions music during his life. They account for more than half of his piano works, in terms of the number, and even more famous than the others. In the same time, these elite piano adaptations earned him the "Master of Transcriptions" in the world.In China, piano playing and teaching study in Beethoven’s Symphony adapted by Liszt are still vacant. As research subjects, adapting a polyphony, involving a wide range of musical instruments, grand orchestration Symphony to a solo work played by one person on the piano, Liszt must devote his superb playing and composing skills into them. Based on the above considerations, this dissertation discuss and analyse the artistic characteristics and great playing skills of the Beethoven’s Symphony adapted by Liszt through arranging them, in order to explore the exclusive style music features of Liszt.
