Surrealism painting reflects, just not as before, the language featuresand the art skills which can show the essence of painting in the best way.This method of creation breaks the realism painting characterized by thereason and reality, and has the deeper exploration and expression for thereal objects. When some objects placed together in a unique way, theobserver might not feel pretty at the first glance. They seem ordinary andnot conspicuous, because they are the ordinary objects in the daily life.However, just due to their ordinary, they become special. Surrealistsconsider that the reason and the tradition blind the truth, and they usethese plain and simple objects to show more expressive artistic effect.They make people laugh or make them puzzled. The surrealists just usethis unique manner to beat traditional and conventional common, andinspire our subconscious emotion and shock our mind. I was deeplyexpressed by the artistic style of surrealism. The mystery revealed in theimage made me drop into it. When study their works, I also got a greatdeal of inspiration and influence.This essay make a brief summary of the surrealism painting in thefirst chapter, including the origin, the definition, the artistic backgroundand the painting character of the surrealism. In the second chapter, mainlystarting from the surrealistic painting works, we know the character andstyle of their works through the analysis of the works of the mainrepresentatives. The third chapter is mainly to find the inspiration ofpersonal painting language from the surrealism.Though in-depth understanding of the surrealistic painting art styleand value, and in-depth interpretation of their works in this essay, I was inspired a lot in painting practice, and I have much clearer creationconcept and direction of my own.
