Since the beginning of the new period, the loosing of political consciousness caused a bigideological liberation. Then as the western literary works and literary thoughts swarming intoChina, the writing theory and writing attitude of domestic writers changed. The marginalized“fool” image appeared. The "fool" narrative entered into the mainstream of contemporaryliterary narrative text with a strong attitude. This Impacted on the reading vision of readers asfresh perspective and a unique form of narrative. The paper analyses characters, plot scenes andtext structure by Bakhtin’s "Carnival" theory, using text analysis method. In addition, it alsoanalyses the carnival of features and carnival spirit. This paper is divided into six parts:The first part is the introduction. Firstly, It generalizes the research status of the academiccircle in literature of the new period and analyses the limitations of the current study. On thisbasis, I put forward the writing ideas of my own. Additionally, it explains Bakhtin’s carnivaltheory briefly. Then on this basis, it sets up a new era of the "fool" narrative and carnivalisminitially. The first chapter mainly discusses the "fool" narrative of the novels in the new period.Firstly, it defines the narrative of "fool" and discusses the connotation of the fool image by foolperspective. Secondly, it discusses the reason of the "fool" narrative’s emergence. The second chapter investigates the carnival features of the "fool" narrative in the newperiod mainly from the aspect of characters. It explains the absurdity of the “fool” by analyzingthe fool image’s external representation and behavior. This reverses out the traditional aestheticidea and behavior way of the real world. In addition, it states that the fool image both hasnegative and positive factors from his "duality" characteristics of the stupid and smart. And thisreflects the Intrinsic characteristics of the carnival. The third chapter investigates similarities of the "fool" narrative in the new period and thecarnival spirit from the real scene and the spiritual world of the characters in the text.Firstly, it explains that everything is upside down and the seriousness of life is questionedin the "change style" carnival square. Secondly, it mainly discusses something as the abnormaldreams and fantasies. And then the paper proves that they are beyond of the conventionalboundaries, and insanity, break the conventional order and normal thinking. They completely are chaotic."Carnival" of the spirit is everywhere in the world. The fourth chapter analyzes the characteristics of the "fool" narrative text by carnivaltheory from three angles. The first part analyses the narrative structure of the decrowningcoronation. It explains that everything is changing including fate of characters by analyzing thecontingency and uncertainty of the fool image. Crown means taking off the crown. Everythingshows the inter-face sense. The second part is the irony of opposites. It discusses the structureof opposite that includes three pairs of contradictory things (representation and facts, stupid andwise, good human nature and evil human nature). Then it points out the irony of this structure. The third part explains dialogue relationship of the "fool" narrative and then structuralbitonality was demonstrated. The sixth part is the conclusion. It analyzes that Carnival as a special artistic way ofthinking subverts the conventional literary way of thinking. This breaks the literary expressionof a single hue, achieving openness and unfinished nature of the content and form. The literarysignificance of the "fool" narration walks into open and the depth. It achieves a new life.
