The late Qing period romantic novels are prosperous, have a considerableamount, and have different themes.The author based on the characteristics of thesubject matter of the late Qing romantic novels, late Qing romantic novels imitationred novel is divided into the imitation red novel of scholar-beauty subject, heroesand heroines novel, narrowly evil fiction, social and romantic novels, four majortypes. This paper mainly discusses the content and artistic characteristics of thesefour types of romantic novels. The full text of the main part of three chapters: firstchapter "the late Qing romantic novels overview "discusses the late Qing theromantic novels creative path and its printing. The late Qing romantic novelsdevelopment path discusses the late Qing romantic novels developed in thescholar-beauty novels, under the influence of the three aspects of the "Dream of RedMansions" and "novel revolution. At the same time, this paper introduces the printedtime, places, and collections of the late Qing important parts of the romantic novels.Second chapter "late Qing love stories theme type and features", this chapter isdivided into four parts: imitation red novel, the sons and daughters of the hero of thenovel, courtesan novel and social romance. Content characteristics of these fourtypes of romantic novels are discussed. Imitation red works are very similar to the"Dream of Red Mansions", the contents of such works focus on the comparison withthe "Dream of Red Mansions", respectively, from the three aspects of the characters,plot, ideological, to discover their similarities and differences. However, the sons anddaughters of the hero of the novel, the courtesan novel, the social characteristics ofromantic novels mainly from three aspects of the performance of the main body,romance, themes/ideas to examine, in the course of the study in addition to learnfrom the results of previous studies. I mainly through reading the text, to explore thetypes of content characteristics of a variety of subjects, this chapter I firmly grasp the word "love" to do the article. Third chapter "late Qing love stories artistic features",this chapter is divided into three parts. The first two sections of research the narrativemode. Section I" traditional narrative mode of inheritance-Storytelling",this sectionfrom the late Qing Dynasty storyteller romantic novels in two major aspects of theact as narrator and storyteller sets of language use to discuss the inheritance of thelate Qing romantic novels of ancient narrative mode; Section II "new development oftraditional narrative mode", this section from a narrative point of viewchanges in twomajor aspects of the new change, the narrative structure to examine the late Qingromantic novels new breakthroughs in the traditional narrative mode; Section III"late Qing love Stories aesthetic features", this section from the aesthetic taste, thetragic two levels to discuss the late Qing romantic novels in the aestheticcharacteristics. In this part of the artistic features of romantic novels of this period inthe late Qing Dynasty, I first summarized its overall features, and then an exampleanalysis.
