The Piano Concerto "yellow River" Analysis Of The Music

The dissertation analyses the background and the composing skills ofthe piano concerto named “Yellow River”. The concerto is great and impressiveadored by the players and audiences home and abroad, which was composedby Yin Chengzong, Chu Wanghua, Sheng Lihong,and Liu Zhuang by the end of1960s based on partial melody of the chorus named “Yellow River” by XianXinghai. It was firstly performed in Beijing in January,1970and received greatapplause. The immortal works symbolizing the spirit of Chinese nation playednumerously all over the world has become the piano concerto with the featuresof Chinese nation, and seen as a historical music poem presenting how theChinese people fought against the invaders of Japanese and gained the finalvictory. The concerto has reached the highest peak in the aspect ofpublic-playing, musical notes and video and record publication of its kind inChina. Owing to its huge influence, the concerto has been greatly concerned bythe musical circles and all walks of society both home and abroad. As a musicworker, I have studied the composition with respect and admiration, drawn itsessence and tried my best to facilitate the other learners.There are five chapters in the dissertation.
