As a burgeoning mode of film&TV production, Taopai offers different methodsof presenting the same content. It develops tepid though this kind of phenomenon hasa long history for more than20years in China. The prosperity of cultural industry haslaid a good foundation for the further development of Taopai plays since the turn ofthe millennium. By some accounts, since2010, mainly every film which earned overten million at the box office has spread the news that it was going to turn intoTV series, and most of them have established or shot. At the same time, it is verycommon for high-profile TV series turning into films. Once film studios foundproducts available, they tried their best to maximize their values by different ways ofexploitation. In the whole media industry, we all know that books, films, TV shows aswell as stage plays has formed a chain of cultural industry, so it’s important to step upto study the phenomenon of Taopai art.This paper attempts to analyze the reason of Taopai plays’ prosperity deeplybased on its current station and tries to analyze the problems existed in its processingdevelopment to make sure that the art of Taopai becomes a true way to improvethe flourishing and developing of movie-television artistry.The key point of thisthesis is the audience research under the mass consumption background. By the questionnaire studies of200audiences randomly, the paper studied theinfluence factors of consumption according to audiences’ respect to Taopai plays andtheir real consumption state aiming at improving the process of industrializing media.This paper contains three parts besides introduction and addendum.The article, in its introduction, tried to analyze the conception of Taopai and itsresearch background. And it will deal with the definition of Taopai based on theparticular background by the study of synchrony and diachrony on it in detail to makeTaopai keeping with the trend of times.The first part is the development process of Taopai. This chapter did a necessaryand detail studying on the development of Taopai on history and background bothways. The ups and downs related to the background of times closely in its growthover the past20years. It went though the experience from germination to maturity.The second part is the current situation of Taopai and the problems existed in it.Now, Taopai is showing unprecedented development trend and the product isincreasing rapidly. However, throughout history, the circumstances of Taopai playsaren’t all plain sailing. Firstly, in the aspect of production, not all the Taopai plays canachieve excellent box office receipts. Secondly, Taopai plays are restricted by manykinds of factors during the course of consumption because of the different tastes for medias. Thirdly, the extended products are hard to hold the advantage to follow up thevictory though the original works has aroused wide concern among the audience. Forthe moment, Taopai is now at the new starting point in its drive for development.Taopai cannot develop smoothly if we don’t pay attention to the issues.The third part is the way out for Taopai development. This chapter dealt withdirections for development of Taopai from three points, the point of production, thepoint of audience and the point of marketing.Currently, China’s film industry is undergoing a golden period of development.Only the strongest survive in the sharp market competition. Taopai plays mustimprove the quality of its production and rectify the order of media industry if it wantsa long term of development. Only in this way, the business battle under the slogan ofBrand Extension will last long and make a deep impact on the whole film industry ofChina.
