Kita Ikki was the most representative of the modern Japanese “revolutionary”right wing. His reorganization idea in one of his major works:Fundamental principlesfor the reorganization of Japan had brought a great impact on Japan’s right-wingmovement before World War II. At the same time, he had also an experience ofparticipating in the Chinese revolution for more than10years before joining the“national reorganization” movement. This paper holds that China view plays animportant role in Kita’schange of thought process. Moreover, Kita’s China view is notonly the reflection of his Chinese revolution career, but also a connecting thread of hisown ideological system. Therefore, it’s no doubt that there is an important academicsignificance on the research of Kita’s China view. This paper attempts to make a research into Kita’s China view which contains itsbackground, content, change and influence. In this process, the research mainly takesKita’s China view which formed in his Chinese revolution career as the object ofstudy, and takes Kita’s Unofficial historyof the Chinese revolutionas the corereference of this paper. This paper holds that Kita’s China viewconsists of two parts:the Chinese revolution view and the “Sino-Japanese alliance” view. This paper arguesthat, in Kita’s Chinaview, the “national awakening”and the “leaderconsciousness”isrespectively the basic starting point and thetheoretical basis for thestrategic choice of Sino-Japanese relations. Furthermore, Kita’s Chinaview was notonly the direct guiding ideology of Kita’s Chinese revolution career, but also broughta profound impact on Kita’s Asia view and his participating in the “nationalreorganization” movement later.
