Deng Xiaoping’s Concept Of Peaceful Development

From the late 1970s, Comrade Deng Xiaoping put forward the concept of peaceful development in the context of analysis of international political, economic and military situation, combined with the lessons learned since the Chinese Communist Party establishment and the specific national conditions of China. The concept of peaceful development is a generalization and summation of the macroeconomic situation of the world at that time, Deng Xiaoping, is the correct understanding of and attitude towards the peaceful development of the stand, viewpoint and method. Deng Xiaoping’s concept of peaceful development in the then international has attracted wide acceptance. Today, we are still undeniable, peace and development remain the theme of today’s world. Although the current world and local conflicts and wars still come and go, but still no possibility of a new world war broke out. At present, Europe and the United States government into a deficit or debt crisis, the Japanese economy remains in the doldrums for years, emerging market countries, inflation is high, showing the development of problem is still the world’s governments need to be solved.Over the past 30-odd years since reform and opening-up, China has always adhere to the principle of peaceful development, and take the road of socialism with Chinese characteristics, market, and has made remarkable achievements. Deng Xiaoping is the chief architect of China’s reform and opening up, Deng Xiaoping theory of the peaceful development of China is no longer to prevent World War as an important task, but persist in taking economic construction as the center, to maintain the nearly 30 years of continued prosperity in China, we are peaceful development long-standing ruling party and government policy. At present, China has entered a critical period of building a moderately prosperous society and to deepen reform and opening up, accelerate the transformation of economic development in the crucial period. In the new historical period, Deng Xiaoping’s concept of peaceful development is still an important guiding significance. September 6, 2011, the State Council Information Office published a White Paper on "China’s peaceful development, combined with the current domestic and international situation and China’s actual development, further systematic exposition of the China always adheres to the concept of peaceful development, which is both our past decades the development of our experience, is also a programmatic document of our government must be adhered to in the future.
