The Study Of Multi-layered Social Communication Of Middle Class

It is shown that social closure has emerged In the field of social structure, but there is few researches focus on such subject in the field of class formation (or class action). Also, there is rare studies concentrate on the combination of views of social structure and social network, although social interaction occupies the closest position of the spectrum of structuration.This article bases on the theory of Social stratification, and focuses on the field of social network. First, the specific social stratification structure has been built following the leveled division of the basic three dimension:public authority, property and technology, as well as the vocation rank occupying the specific position in this structure. This structure contains9class positions ranked into4classes (mid-state-owned-enterprise, mid-public authority, mid-property and mid-technology as in middle class).Then, it states that there is less opportunity to build a friendship across the boundaries of both in classes and in the basic dimension, through the log-linear model of the class positions of the respondents and their friends. The social communication of middle class presents out a trend of’multi-layered’:The friendship is hold in the inner group which is not only in the vertical calss rank but in the different circle of dimension horizontally. What’s more, the friendship of middle class that across the boundaries is limited and shows out some feature:isolated from the upper class; attached to the public authority circle; beyond the technology circle. The factor which influents the mode of social communication is essentially that the social closure insulates the interaction between two different social classes. Although the over-boundary-friendship still exists, it is constrained by the following states:public authority permeating into the social-life space, and Instrumentalized interaction leading by the intention of benefit chasing.
