Middle Class And Social Harmony

Social harmony and stability is always the human's ideal state. For a long time,most of the domestic researchers of this aspect tend to believe that it is more likely tobe harmonious and stable in a society which has a mature social middle class, whichaffected by the theory about olive structure of society of the western academia likeAristotle and so on. What kind of relationships exist between the social middle classand the social harmony and stability, and is it an universal truth that the social middleclass can make a society be harmonious and stable, which is the project of thisdissertation.Currently, most of the existing academic conclusions of this aspect in theacademia, which believe that the social middle class is more likely to make a societybe harmonious and stable, are based on the logical reasoning. However, there were stillsome instances of instability made by a social middle class in the real history of oursociety. Therefore, it will have a very great academic significance to re-analyze theindividual and group characters of a social middle class and then to find out therelationship and the mechanism of action between the characters of the middle classand the harmony and stability of the society.The main content of this dissertation is to find out that the effectiveness of thisclassical consequence is based on the society of the ancient Greek poleis, and then tofind out two projects that must be solved about the effective use of Aristotle's classicalconsequence in the analysis of the problem about middle class and social harmony inthe modern society, according to the in-depth analysis about the consequence ofAristotle that is 'middle class can benefit the social stability'. The complexity ofmodern society makes it in trouble about the right selection of middle class, whichleads to the further differentiation to 'middle class of natural sense' and 'middle classof strict sense', and then to analyze its character and social function of the typicalsamples abstracted from the middle class of strict sense. At last, it has been found outthat a new analytical framework of the analysis about the project of middle class and social harmony, and using this new analytical framework, some new research andthinking, which based on the current specific conditions of China, has been done aboutthe construction of Chinese harmonious society.
