Civil interaction is nonofficial interaction of people and nationalities. China and Vietnam are two countries that share similar landscapes and are as close as lips and teeth. These two countries have been friendly to each other for a very long time. People living on the Sino-Vietnamese border have communicated with each other in economy, culture and other aspects since ancient times. Of course, two countries had once been at war with each other, but even during the war, the friendly communication between the two countries still went on. There are countless ties between Chinese and Vietnamese cross-border ethnic groups. The paper takes Jing nationality, population Wanwei Village, Dongxing City, in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China and the ancient village of Tea, a small town in Quang Ninh province of Mong Cai city on the border side of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam for example. This paper describes the basic conditions of villages on both border, and explores the mode of civil interaction which is formed spontaneously by Sino-Vietnamese cross-border Jing nationality. Civil interaction includes interaction of friendship, economic interaction, cultural interaction and other aspects. This article aims to analyze the characteristics, causes and effect of the Sino-Vietnamese border cross-border interaction of Jing nationality, and to explore the regularity of cross-border interaction of Jing nationality, and to put forward my views on development trend of the peaceful cross-border interaction of Jing nationality. Along with the foundation of China—ASEAN Free Trade Area and the development of Pan-beibu Gulf economy, the investigation on cross-border ethnic relationship problems of interaction, win-win of cross-border Jing nationality on the Sino-Vietnamese border could promote the peaceful communication, common development and the boundary stability of Sino-Vietnamese border nationalities.Based on the profound field research of the two villages of Jing nationality located at Wanwei and the ancient village of Tea on the Sino-Vietnamese border, this paper makes full use of written documents, employ the theory of communication, ethnology, anthropology and border ethnic policy to make the discussion on relevant issues more persuasive.This essay includes three parts and eight chapters.The first part:Introduction. It explains the source of the topic, purpose, meaning, review of the previous research and analyzes the basic methods.The second part:A multi-level and multi-angle analysis of cross-border interaction of Jing nationality. This part discusses the basic conditions of the both border villages of Jing nationality, such as history, ancient and modern landmarks (fieldwork), geography, naming (China, Vietnam.), population, ethnic origin, per capita income, folklore and explores the mode of civil interaction including interaction of friendship, economic interaction, cultural interaction and other aspects, analyzes the history and present situation of interaction that is formed spontaneously by Sino-Vietnamese cross-border Jing nationality to summary the characteristics, causes,effect and regularity of the Sino-Vietnamese border cross-border interaction of Jing nationality. In the end this part reveals the development trend of cross-border Jing nationality on the Sino-Vietnamese border from the long-term perspective.The third part:Conclusion. This part is a summary of the full text.
