Deposit Insurance System Research

With the further development of our market economy and gradual deepening of finance system reform, the relation between banks and government is changing step by step, and banks is becoming the main body of market economy. The problem caused by this change would be the benefits of depositors to be affected by the huge operation risks up against our banks, which is relevant to the prudent operation, or even the safety and stability of national finance system. Therefore, setting up the insurance system is in urgent need. On the basis of the insurance system of developed countries and the comparative study of their experience, this article probes into the function and structure, the insured institution coverage and the deposit insurance premium of our future deposit insurance companies in order to set up the deposit insurance system that confirms to the actual state’s condition.
