Takeshima (Dokdo) in Japan and South Korea, due to strategic and economic valueis very important, so the two countries around the Islands Sovereignty Dispute frequent.Japan and South Korea on Dokdo (Takeshima) sovereignty has a long history, both sideshave been unable to agree on this problem opinion. Around the island of Takeshima(Dokdo) attribution, Japan and South Korea both claim sovereignty on the island.Because the Takeshima (Dokdo) sovereignty over Japan and South Korea bothpositions give tit for tat, long-term since, Japan and South Korea in Takeshima (Dokdo)have rights exist serious opposition in Japan and South Korea Dokdo (Takeshima), thedispute has be in suspense. Japanese scholars about Takeshima (Dokdo) claim issuesfrom history, international law and many other points to it s undertook treatise. Japanesegovernment thinks whether historically or international law (see Takeshima islets) ispart of Japanese territory. Korean scholars to Takeshima (Dokdo) claim problemundertook much angle of systematic research, it is often seen. Research results,published a large number of books and papers. The South Korean government is mainlyfrom the perspective of history that the island is Korean territory, and the actual controlof the island. Japan and South Korea both sides also set up such as" TakeshimaInstitute"(Japan) and" the society"(Han) and other specialized research institutions,hold regular meetings to Takeshima (Dokdo) questions for discussion and research.Although South Korea in historical advantage, and effectively refuted Japan toTakeshima (Dokdo) with right view, but there are still some details need deeperdiscussion.In recent years, Japan and South Korea around the island of Takeshima (Dokdo)have right of confrontation and conflict caused the wide attention of internationalsociety especially in2005established the Japanese" Takeshima day",2008and Takeshima (Dokdo) is a territorial claims in the junior high school history textbook instructionmanual, Japan and South Korea between Takeshima (Dokdo dispute tournament). Howto deal with Japan and South Korea between Takeshima (Dokdo) this territorial disputes,not only related to the vital interests of Japan and Korea, but also for the peace andstability in Northeast Asia.
