Food safety is very important. They have something to do with people’s life andhealth, They also have something to do with economic development and socialstability. Recently，with the food safety incidents happening frequently, therefore foodsafety issues being highlighted once again, attracting the focus of attention in society.Food from planting and breeding to a series of food consumption in processing can becontaminated by hazardous substances, leading to food hazards, which arousing foodsafety problems. At present, China’s food safety monitoring mode of supervision isthat many departments manage food safety confusely and repeatedly. With socialprogress and enhancement of people’s living level, it has not well adapted to the newchallenges for the food security. Owing to the reality and implementation of foodsafety law,situation. food safety system need new requirements and regulations toagainst illegal behavior.Reflecting the relevant provisions of the Criminal Law will bea help for making the interface between legal norms, reconstructing criminal law forprotection of food safety, so as to prevent and combat food safety crime better, andcurb the occurrence of food safety incidents effectively. This article analyzes thestatus basing on the current situation of food safety and conditions for the legalsystem of food safety. And proposes advices to improve the criminal law system ofprotection of food safety.
