Objective: Through survey2008-2010primary people’s court disposed medicaldamage compensation disputes in Urumqi, analyzing the development changes and causesof medical damage compensation disputes, making recommendations for the hospitaladministrators and medical staff to provide a theoretical basis, and promoting theharmonious development of the medical profession in Urumqi. Methods: In theretrospective study, using EXCEL and SPSS15.0software, statistical analyzing the changeof medical damage compensation disputes in the Primary People’s Court of Urumqi.Results:1.The basic situation: Medical damage compensation disputes with judgment andmediation is in the majority, the chi-square test, believe that2008-2010medical damagecompensation disputes in the court of the results and the regional distribution of allhospitals are different, but in different appraisal way and malpractice cases distribution ofregional distribution in different ways.2.In compensation, There are strong correlationbetween medical damage compensation disputes cases, medical malpractice cases,medical compensation; Among them, according to a chi-square test (P<0.05), the hospitalsof different levels, different identification methods and medical malpractice level of theaverage medical damages distribution are different, but the average medical damages ofdifferent medical accident liability has not difference.3.Medical incidents main reason isnot careful preoperative examination and did not fulfill this obligation, account for20.93%of medical malpractice cases; The main reason for non-medical incidents inviolation of rules and regulations and procedures, accounting for25.89%of thenon-medical malpractice cases. Conclusion: As hospital managers should Emphasis onmedical disputes, monitor the quality of care, strengthen risk management; As medicalpersonnel should enhance their legal awareness, change the concept of service, fulfill thisobligation, the norms of medical records.
