Doing boldly what is righteous is a traditional Chinese virtue, and also animportant part of the socialist moral system. Vigorously carrying forward thecourageous spirit will directly affect the construction of a harmonious society and theoverall building of a well-off society. Currently, an important reason for the existenceof the “bleeding and in tears” events of courageous people is that there is no nationalunified legislation. The legitimate rights and interests of courageous people must beprotected from the legislative point of view.The work of doing boldly what is righteous should be divided into two parts. Oneis for the completely carrying forward the courageous spirit in the society in order toform a social tendency, which belongs to the category of the construction of softpower civilization. The other is for the sound safeguard of legal interest ofcourageous people that depends on a wholesome and effective law system. It’s thehard power and belongs to the category of the construction of social law system.This essay analyses the current situation of courageous people’ s interestprotection in China. According to “Reward and protection regulations of courageouspeople in human province”, It reveals the deficiencies and the weaknesses existing inthe local regulations and also it points out that the prevailing law can’t do enough toprotect courageous people’s interests. In a word, the essay defines the law limitationabout courageous people’s interest protection, summarizes the relative laws at homeand aboard and also evaluates the legislation situation in China.Combining China’s national conditions and drawing on the relevant experience,this paper proposes to achieve a fundamental protection of the rights and interests ofcourageous people by the development of specialized and unified courageous law.
