The relationship between human and community is a significant theoretical issue, it is also a practical problem that should be treated seriously. The purpose of this paper is to explore Marx’s theory on the relationship between human and community from a dialectical dimension based on Marx and Engels’s classical original works and text comprehension. The paper first summarizes the relations between human and community of Marxist classic texts, and expounds the dialectical relations between human and community. These relations mainly embodies in these aspects:the essence of human is community, mutual-shaping of man and community, man and community rely on each other and so on. Then the paper discusses Marx’s relevant theory on the relationship between human and community which related to the conflict between liberalism and communitarianism, differences between Toennies and Marx and the attitude of postmodernism towards community. This study sketches the realistic purport of Marx’s "relationship between human and community" and mainly relates to the problem of human’s true realization and the construction of community.
