Values Change Research In China's Social Transition Process

Since the reform and opening up, our country is in socialtransformation process, economic, political, social, cultural and otheraspects have undergone significant changes. As the ideological form,value is the reflection of the society development and the people’s life,and will change and transform with them. The value matters our partyand country’s ideological and theoretical construction, and relates topeople’s spiritual life and existence problem. Research of the changeof value in the process of Chinese social transformation, is not onlyan important issue of philosophy and society sciences, but also is theacademic hot issue of the theoretical study in recent years.The first chapter is the basic provision of the values. They’reabout the viewpoint of value, social values’ connotation, and thebasic characters of values’ evolution in the social transformation. Thesecond chapter is to expound the values’ change in the process ofsocial transformation. First, it is the connotation of socialtransformation. Second, it is Chinese social transformation, includingthe economic composition diversification, the complex interest, theglobalization process and the influence of opening foreigncivilization. Third, they are the reason and characters in the processof the values change in social transformation. The third chapter is thestudy of the current Chinese social multi-value patterns. First, it is thecore values system’s center guide status: Marx ideology, Chinesecharacteristic socialism common ideal, with patriotism as the core ofthe national spirit and with reform and innovation as the core spirit ofthe times, with "Eight Honors and Eight Disgraces" as the main content of the socialism honor and disgrace concept. Second, they arethe ecology and landscape of values: the traditional standard valuesand modern standard values competing, market standard values andplan standard values gaming, individual standard values and socialstandard values conflicting, special standard values and universalstandard values discerning, flat standard values and transcendentalstandard values confronting. Third, they are the basic characters andthe genesis analyzes. Basic features: monism and pluralism coexists;secularization feature is more apparent; rapid integration andevolution. Genetic analysis: reform and opening up, new and oldalternate, Chinese and foreign exchange; social transformation,market economy profit, some aspects of the system are not perfect;time-space compression, pre-modern, modern, post-moderninterleaving. The fourth chapter is to promote the socialism corevalues construction. First, it is the socialism core values’ connotation:humanistic, justice, all rich, democratic, harmonious; Second, theyare the basic principles of promoting them: the definitive guideprinciple, suitable for local land principle, deeply concise principle,relatively advanced principle; Third, they are the path and safeguardof promoting them: seek truth from facts in the face of contemporaryChina’s social development achievements and problems, further topromote reform and opening and social construction, and strive tocreate positive and profound social culture.In the process of transformation from tradition to modern, theMarxism philosophy dialectical materialism and historicalmaterialism theory are basic guidelines and methodology tounderstand and grasp the process. This paper is based on Marxism philosophy discipline; adhere to the unity of history and logic, andtheory combining practice principles, using the contacted,developmental, historical, dialectical view and method to see theproblem, concrete analysis of concrete problems. More in-depthstudy on profound values’ change in the current social transformationprocess will help strive to rationally understand and identify topractice the socialism’s core values.
