The Study Of Deng Xiaoping’s Concept Of Socialism

Before the reform and opening-up, our understanding to socialism is not really clear. At the beginning of the reform and opening-up, Deng Xiaoping, the core of the second-generation leading group, made great effort to bring China society into order from Culture Revolution-made chaos along with leadership of the Center Committee. Some misunderstanding was removed and understanding to socialism becomes clear to some" degree. And thereby a series of new guidelines and policies which suit China’s national conditions and basic principles of Marxism were develop, which led to a rapid development of production capability. Last3decades has witnessed a rapid economic development and a deepen reform and opening up. China now has encountered new problems which associated with essence of socialism, such as widening income gap between urban and rural areas, different area of the country and different class of society; People cannot share the achievements of reform, and how to realize the goal of common prosperity is still a big problem. Serious corruption problem among the party or government officers and centralization political structure become more and more conflicting to the needs of economic and social development. Further reform is urgently needed to properly resolve these issues. And this requires a combination of new social realities and further study of Deng Xiaoping’s concept of socialism. This article is to expand the study of Deng Xiaoping’s concept of socialism in this context.To study. Deng Xiaoping’s concept of socialism, firstly we must understand the origins of Deng Xiaoping’s concept of socialism. Therefore, on the basis of previous studies, this article discusses from both theoretical and practical aspects of the origin of Deng Xiaoping’s concept of socialism. Secondly, by studying literature and learning from the point of view of scholars, I divide the formation process of Deng Xiaoping’s concept of socialism into three phases’point in time as brewing, formation and perfection, and this discussing focused on the brewing stage. Thirdly, this article summarized Deng Xiaoping’s some decision and thinking in specific guidance for Chinese reform and opening up and socialist modernization construction of "what is socialism and how to build socialism" from four aspects of political, economic, cultural and social development. Finally, based on the concept of Deng Xiaoping’s socialist origins, formation process, the basic content, it clarifies the historical statue and realistic guiding significance of Deng Xiaoping’s concept of socialism for the current reform and opening up and lead the road of socialism with Chinese characteristics, better and more healthy.
