This paper attempts to start from the angle of anthropology, as natural hazards of Xiangxi, Li Zi village for research object, through the field investigation and the methods of Literature collection, together natural hazards with the way of life,analysis of the villagers how to respond to natural hazards, and after economic income changed, The culture of natural hazards for the villagers has changed. This paper is divided into six parts:The introduction part mainly on the origin of this research and the research methods of the account, at the same time, reviewed the academic research on natural hazards.the first chapter introduces the basic situation of the fieldwork place of Li Zi village, and defined the conceptual of the natural disaster.The second chapter discusses those villages mastered some knowledge to respond to natural hazards, in the face of hazards, the villagers were not await one’s doom.these knowledge used in the agricultural production. However, those villages believe that "It’s all predestined, human can’t do anything." In face of the flood and drought disaster, the people do something, but also feel helpless.The third chapter discusses the villagers is through the "Da Wu" and the relatives and friends of mutual to realize the post-disaster relief and recovery. In face of flood and drought hazards, villagers implement "production". However, the family’s capacity of agricultural production in the face of flood and drought hazards is limited, therefore, the "Da Wu " social organizations and friends cooperation is an important means of villagers in post-disaster recovery. In the state power, the government played an important role in post-disaster relief. However, those villages do not understand the government how to measure disaster loss and relief post-disaster.The fourth chapter discusses the economic income has changed the cultural of natural disaster to people’s feeling. The changes of economic income mode brings about changes in people’s way of life, these changes directly effect on the social environment, thereby increasing the frequency of natural hazards.The conclusion part is a summary of this paper, in the traditional agricultural society, people has their own set of knowledge response to natural hazards, but in the political, economic environment changes, the transition from the income from agriculture to non-agricultural income, has changed the cultural significance of natural hazards, people’s life style has changed very greatly, the natural hazards occurred by the changes in social life and new technology is not coordinated local environment.
