Since its establishment, the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Accredited agency has been subject to a dual leadership of the local-level Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision Bureau and its resident department of the party. To further meet the needs of today’s social and economic development, the Central Discipline Inspection Commission and the Ministry of Supervision implements a unified management reform of these organizations across the country in2004. Through the unified management reform, Discipline Inspection and Supervision has made a fundamental change in its accredited organizations’ presence of human resource, financial and property management, in enhancing their independence and authority, and in strengthening the supervision of the Discipline Inspection and Supervision on these organizations. Although unified management reform of accredited organizations has achieved some success, it is still in the exploratory stage, along with a lot of contradictions encountered in practical work. Considerable challenges still exist.
