Although separated millions, China and Africa has a long history of friendship. In the context of the Cold War, the Sino-African relations opened a new chapter, during the particular period of the1960s and1970s, in the force of the revolution and the cold war, China developed the theory of the "middle ground" and actively take on the historical mission of "decolonization", Based on this theory, the Sino-African friendship benefited both sides. For African, it’s economic developed very well; for china, it Expanded china’s diplomatic pattern.Besides exordium and epilogue, there are four chapters in this dissertation. In exordium, it is about the academic research in the past years. Overall, the majority research of the China-Africa relations are General History class writings, the details studies very little. Well, the foreign scholars’ studies are limited to the deofogicaLIn Chapter one, two question has been discussed. One is development of the cold war, and the other is the "middle ground" theory. The background of the Cold War is the external force of the adjustment of China’s foreign policy, while China’s foreign policy depends on the cold war and the Revolution itself.The "middle ground" theory get the decolonization movement and decolonization movement together. On this basis, China proposed two principles of foreign policy,which give African countries vigorously assistance.In the Second chapter,I study two typical cases about the aids from shanghai to Africa.one is the medical team to Africa, another is the projects. Shanghai, as one of the most important cities of China,sented lots of experts to help the Africa’s economic development.Also,Shanghai sent many medical teams to go abroad to treatment the local people.The third chapter focuses on the technical training of interns from Africa to Shanghai. Shanghai as one of China’s most develpment city, trained several batches of interns. Overall, these interns in Shanghai received meticulous training, learned very well.After the training, they back home to help their home economic development. However due to differences of the languages, cultures and ideologies, there still have some problems.How did China-African relations development based on a special mechanism during the time is discussed in Chapter four. I called it the "revolution mechanism", by which China transmit the revolutionary ideas to Africa. The revolution mechanism have palyed an important role in the China-Africa relations.
