Research On China Youth Among1948-1956

China Youth is a youth inspirational periodical founded in Shanghai in1923, which is one of the longest published periodicals in China. Founded by Yun Daiying, China Youth used to push the youth into the revolution movement, while it was forced to suspend publication after the failure of the revolution. China Youth was republished in Yan’an in1939, organized the youth to participate in the Anti-Japanese War, and it folded up again because of the south anhui incident. By the end of the Chinese Civil War, China Youth resumed publication in the valley village in Hebei on December20,1948. China Youth is the official organ of the Youth League Central Committee, which charges with the guiding work of the Youth League and carries out the task of ideological and political education. It is an important path for publicity of Marxism-Leninism and Mao Zedong Thought.This paper took an in-depth study on the text content of China Youth among1948-1956in order to learn the advocacy role as an official organ and the social responsibility of a youth periodical. After experiencing the tremendous turmoil in China, great changes of the social politics, economy and culture took place. China Youth has been clear about the new orientation in the new period. It was to guide the youth to set up a correct political direction, and establish a correct value orientation, to help the youth resolve the relationship issues between themselves and the society, and to defend the legal rights for them. Starting from the basic national conditions in China, China Youth paid much attention on the current events and social ideological trend, which caused a wide public concern. Combined with the central task of the CPC and the characteristics of the youth, China Youth carried out the ideological and political education, conveyed the spirit of the youth work documents, and popularized the knowledge and experience of the Young League. Through the combination of the publicity and the political mobilization, China Youth made effort to shape a new state ideology, lead the value and guide self-awareness among the youth. This paper used the research methods combined with the literature analysis, qualitative analysis, interdisciplinary research, inductive research and case studies for a systematically combing of China Youth during the period1948-1956. It gave an account of the key emphasis in work of China Youth, as well as the role it played in the youth in order to bring reflection and enlightenment to the modern youth periodicals.
